Typical Hugel

I was just thinking about how one of the last times I went to visit Richmond, Hugel kept insisting that we go to get brunch at Comfort. He talked about it incessantly, so being a nice guy, I said sure. I even invited several other people to meet us there. Of course when we arrived, we discovered that Comfort doesn't do brunch.

Typical Hugel.

PRAISE CHRIST this has been started up again. Never again make me go almost a year and a half without a new post. This is the best shit on the Internet.

It's going to be hard to keep this blog up when Ben spends all his time in his new home of Arlington, VA, home of nothing but a sweet bar crawl and an endless cavalry of Senate pages.

To comment on the issue at hand, when I proposed Comfort brunch it was prefaced with the fact that I had never been there for brunch or seen the menu, just an announcement that they had started serving on Sunday mornings.

The truth is that they have started serving brunch, it just didn't start until 11am on Sunday, and we were there at 10. I can hardly take credit for the poor advertising and business decisions of local Richmond restaurants. If I did, perhaps I'd shoulder the blame for the closing of Holy Chow, one of Ben's favorite restaurants.

I'm still trying to make sense of Hugel's first paragraph in his response. I'm not sure how living in Arlington would impede my ability to post to this blog. We do have an internet up here in NoVa. It's a pretty good one, too.

As for his second paragraph, I'm glad Hugel clarified that he had never been to or seen the menu of a brunch that doesn't actually exist.
